Butland to leave Rangers?
While not all of Michael Beale’s summer acquisitions have paid out, Butland’s transfer has, as the goalkeeper has excelled right away at Ibrox.
After club veteran Allan McGregor retired, he had very large shoes to fill, but so far, he’s done a great job.
The goalkeeper’s performances have apparently drawn attention from both sides; England manager Gareth Southgate is interested in
getting the player back into the England lineup, while Forest is eager to get him back to the Premier League.
While Ibrox has given a clear warning on the former, it would be intriguing to watch any developments with those two scenarios. Last month, the company issued a hands-off caution.
The club executives are hopeful that Butland’s pursuit of silverware this season, led by Philippe Clement, will persuade him to stay at
Ibrox and reclaim his England spot.
And for as long as possible, that ought to remain the official position of the ruling class,
with the goalie being a crucial asset to his management.
