In order to discuss problems related to independent governance, Rangers and other SPFL teams have requested a meeting with the

league’s chairman Murdoch McLennan and chief executive Neil Doncaster.

Journalist Andy Newport of the Daily Record shared this on X, and Gers received calls from Aberdeen, Livingston, Motherwell, St

Johnstone, and St Mirren in addition to themselves.

The SPFL chiefs received an official letter stating that the clubs think a meeting between the chairman and chief executive and

shareholders would be beneficial for transparency and good governance.

The conference, scheduled for February 27th, is open to all SPFL clubs and is intended to address their grievances and worries over

the Independent Governance Review.

Among the SPFL teams aiming for the board are Rangers.

This information surfaced after a letter was first written to the chiefs expressing grave concerns about the governance report’s

independence and transparency after only one member club was given any opportunity to participate in the inquiry.

The Heart & Hand podcast host, David Edgar, asserted that the other SPFL teams are now beginning to realize how badly the league is

handled by people in power, with the Rangers having objected to a number of decisions.
