In preparation for the Rangers’ SPFL match against Ross County on Wednesday night, Philippe Clement may make a few alterations

to his starting lineup.

The manager made multiple changes to his lineup for the game in anticipation of a hectic schedule and a title race, and the Bears

defeated Ayr 2-0 in the Scottish Cup this past weekend.

But with a return to league action now there are several positions up for grabs in the team

due to injuries and general fitness, leaving some decisions to be made.

Rangers must stay defensively solid v Ross County

The team’s defensive performance has been one of the most remarkable aspects of Clement’s rule thus far, and a big part of it can be

attributed to Jack Butland, who has excelled and will continue to play in goal.

Before him The Ibrox club still relies heavily on James Tavernier and Connor Goldson, but recently, Clement has relied more on Leon

Balogun and Ridvan Yilmaz on the left, and with the Nigerian back in the lineup following a facial injury,

he should replace Borna Barisic, whose future is still up in the air.

The manager has choices in midfield ahead of them after resting Tom Lawrence for the match this weekend, but Ryan Jack is not

available because he is still following his personal fitness regimen.

That should see Jack Lundstram come back into the team ahead of him, but Mohammed Diomande was impressive in his full debut

and should keep his place in the side ahead of Nicolas Raskin.

Rangers attack is on fire

Rabbi Matondo and Todd Cantwell, who are in excellent form ahead of them, should hold onto their positions on the left and at

number 10, respectively; recommendations for the right wing are welcome.

Ross McCausland and Scott Wright have recently taken the field, but Oscar Cortes is expected to start because he was fantastic on his

debut and received an assist.

Fabio Silva and Cyriel Dessers have been vying for a starting position up top, but the Portuguese forward has scored two goals in his

last two appearances and ought to start.

In other Rangers news, Roy Keane criticizes the Celtics while Gary Neville makes a “staggering” Ibrox claim.
