Rangers reach agreement with new Ibrox star on major summer contract. Deal  Done

There is believed to be one condition, though.

Rangers have already reached an agreement with one existing player on a large new contract for this summer,

according to a recent update on his future.

Rangers Contract News

Breakings News :The striker linked to Rangers not signing a new deal “speaks volumes” as the “next move” is suggested.

The Gers had a successful January transfer window, signing some key loan players to add to Philippe Clement’s squad depth.

Fabio Silva joined on a temporary deal from Premier League side Wolves,

making an exciting signing considering his reputation as a talented young forward.

Meanwhile, Oscar Cortes was a late addition to Ibrox, joining from Lens until the end of the season.

Both are only at the club until the summer,

hoping to make an impact in the Scottish Premiership title fight, while Borna Barisic, John Lundstram,

Ryan Jack, and Kemar Roofe, among others, will be out of contract at that time.

Oscar Cortes set to sign a permanent Rangers deal.
According to a new Football Insider report, Oscar Cortes will be granted a “huge” long-term contract at Rangers this summer,

provided he impresses Clement and the board during his loan spell at Ibrox.

According to Football Insider, if Oscar Cortes performs well during his loan term at Rangers,

he will be offered a four-year contract and a “huge” pay increase.

On deadline day, the Colombia international signed a loan deal with the Ibrox club for the rest of the season from RC Lens.

“The Gers have an option to buy the winger in the summer,

which will be activated if he meets performance targets in the second half of the season.

” If he impresses manager Philippe Clement and Rangers executives,

he can expect to increase his weekly income and sign a long-term contract until 2028.”

This should be viewed as a significant motivation for Cortes between now and the end of the campaign,

with a sparkling new contractBecause so many established players could leave in the summer,

Rangers would save a significant amount of money on their wage bill, freeing up finances to make Cortes’ decision permanent.

The 20-year-old must obviously perform in order for this to happen,

so if he does not hit the ground running and finds himself fighting for playing time under Clement,

the Gers may decide that seeking for an other target is a better choice instead.
