Philippe Clement: The Transformational Leader Set to Shape Rangers’ Destiny
Former Scotland defender Mark Wilson has boldly proclaimed that Philippe Clement is poised to become the commanding figurehead at Rangers, both on and off the pitch, in the near future.
Clement’s impact since assuming control of the Rangers helm from Michael Beale in October has been nothing short of monumental. Under his guidance, the Belgian tactician has steered Rangers to claim the Scottish League Cup and secure a spot in the Europa League’s last 16.
Furthermore, Rangers are mounting a fierce challenge to Celtic in the title race, while also progressing to the next round of the Scottish Cup.
Wilson acknowledged Clement’s significance as a symbol for Rangers, a quality that some previous managers had failed to embody. He emphasized Clement’s potential to not only excel in coaching and managing the team but also to take on a broader leadership role within the club.
Speaking on Clyde 1’s Superscoreboard, Wilson articulated, “He represents Rangers in the correct way and that has not always been the case. He not only looks like a good coach and manager of the team on the pitch but he looks like he is heading in the direction where he will be able to run the club.”
“Rangers needed a figurehead like that in the dugout with some authority and it looks like they’ve got their man now.”
As Rangers prepare to face Ross County at Ibrox on Wednesday night, all eyes will be on Clement as he continues to shape the club’s destiny with his leadership and vision.
