In order to prepare for what might be a demanding second half of the season, Philippe Clement strengthened his hungry Ibrox squad

by adding three outstanding youngsters to Glasgow Rangers’ roster during the January transfer window.

The three new arrivals are Oscar Cortes, Mohamed Diomande, and Fabio Silva;

each could contribute in the upcoming days and weeks.

 

Silva has already netted two goals for Rangers, and the other two looked impressive when they made their club debuts

in the 2-0 Scottish Cup victory over Ayr United.

But last month, the Light Blues did lose out on a few players, and Clement may come to regret some of these decisions.

While Brazilian Jefte appeared to be moving to Scotland, Lawrence Shankland was constantly linked throughout January. However,

the deal fell through at the last minute, guaranteeing more bad news for the Gers.

The Glasgow team has historically lost out on transfer targets; over the years,

a number of them have gone on to larger and better things.

 

In the Premier League, one name that was connected a few years ago is currently flourishing. Ivan Toney is another one who probably

won’t be sitting still this summer.

Toney was ‘going to sign’ with the Rangers.
