The manager is certain that the 24-year-
old will depart Rangers permanently in
the summer.
Rangers misfit Jose Cifuentes, according
to Cruzeiros manager Nicolas Larcamon,
will permanently leave Ibrox in the
summer.
As part of his recruitment push for the
2023–24 season, Michael Beale recruited
the Ecuadorian from LAFC, bringing him
to Glasgow for a reported £1.2 million.
Social media highlight reels of Cifuentes’
time in America had fans enthusiastic
about the possibility of him joining the
Rangers.
But Cifuentes was unable to win over the
supporters, and it is evident that Philippe
Clement is also not a big fan of the
defensive midfield player.
According to Transfermarkt, he started
14 of his 20 games for the Germans, but
Clement kept him out, thus he eventually
left for Cruzeiro in the Brazilian Serie A.
The agreement is for a loan until the end
of the season with a buyout option.
Cruzeiro manager Larcamon has been
expressing his opinions to the media
over whether he believes the team will
sign Cifuentes long-term.
Jose Cifuentes prospects for a permanent
departure.
“Jose’s game is full with attributes. He
will also provide aggression to the team
and is extremely at ease with the ball.
He will be a huge asset to our midfield.
We want to get him on the team as soon
as possible because he will be a great
asset.
