Scott Brown, who was already on a yellow card on Saturday, February 10th, was challenged by Fabio Silva.

David Edgar has revealed Brown’s response to the incident. The Wolves loanee scored the second goal

for the Gers against Ayr United in the Scottish Cup to make it two goals in three games

since coming to Ibrox during the January transfer window.

But with fifteen minutes left in the game, Silva scored a goal to double Rangers’ lead,

in the opinion of Ayr United’s manager, a former midfielder for Celtic.

The creator of the Hearts and Hand podcast stated via X on Saturday, February 10th,

“Scott Brown thought Silva should have been sent off. This will shock you, so sit down for it.”

Rangers’ Scott Brown is back.

There was always going to be controversy around Brown’s thoughts because this was his first visit

back to Ibrox since his Celtic days.

He spent the entire evening griping to the fourth official about something, in typical Brown fashion.

Nothing less was expected of him, since he still had a strong connection to the Old Firm.

Silva was on the field, in his opinion, whether or not he should have been. And after a difficult night,

the Portuguese attacker finished off a wonderful play to guarantee Rangers’ spot in the next round.

Despite only trailing 1-0 at the interval, the visitors should be quite happy of their effort because they

had a chance to tie the Scottish Premiership team early in the second half.

But it was not supposed to be for them. Although the Gers are predicted to defeat the Championship

team by more than two goals, Philippe Clement will still find plenty of areas that require improvement.
