It’s A Tough Word: Philippe Clement Acknowledges Rangers Players
The Rangers manager, Philippe Clement, has stated that there is still room for improvement
and that he is still not pleased with the health of the Gers team.
Rangers have drastically improved as a team under Clement, and they have only dropped o
ne game since his arrival.
Early in January, Clement led his Rangers team to La Manga for a warm-weather training
camp with the goal of enhancing many squad members’ qualities, including fitness.
The Rangers manager clarified that his squad is not in a poor situation in terms of fitness
but declined to express his satisfaction with his team’s level of fitness.
Although Clement believes that there is still room for improvement, he acknowledged
that both his players and staff gave it their best at the January training camp.
During a news conference, Clement responded to a question on his team’s level of fitness
following the La Manga training camp by saying, “Satisfied is a difficult word.”
“Considering the circumstances, it’s not too bad.”To make the most of our time together
[at La Manga], I believe that every member of the staff and every player gave it their all.
However, I believe the entire team still has a lot of room to progress in that regard.
“However, it is challenging to accomplish that with a game every three days.”
With a game remaining, Rangers has cut the deficit to three points over top-ranked Celtic,
and it still seen whether Clement’s side will be able to stop the Bhoys from winning
another Scottish Premiership title this term.
