Broncos Season Ticket Prices Skyrocket: Fans Outraged as Renewal Window Opens

The Denver Broncos initiated their season ticket renewal process on Thursday morning, sending out emails to ticket-holders with a message from president Damani Leech. The communication addressed an anticipated price hike, albeit one that is expected to be less steep compared to the previous year.

“Thank you for your support,” Leech wrote in the letter to season-ticket holders. “We are deeply committed to ensuring your season tickets are priced fairly and competitively based on a thoughtful review of market demand and league data.”

Data provided by the team indicates that the average cost of a season ticket will see a 7.9% increase, aligning with league-wide trends. This uptick is more moderate than the previous season, where prices surged by approximately 7% on average, peaking at around 13%.

“Investments in our stadium, along with a revamped gameday entertainment program, helped us receive some of the highest fan survey results in years,” Leech added.

Despite the Broncos enduring their seventh consecutive losing season and missing out on the playoffs for an eighth year, the team boasts an impressive 98% season-ticket renewal rate in 2023. Furthermore, an audit of the season ticket waiting list revealed a staggering figure exceeding 100,000.

Market dynamics highlight Denver’s pricing strategy, with average secondary market ticket prices soaring 35% above face value. The Broncos’ variable ticket pricing model ensures that approximately a quarter of the stadium’s seating remains priced below $100 per game, although this represents a slight decrease from the previous year.

Season ticket holders are reminded that the first renewal deadline is set for March 21.
