Bears star DJ Moore shares what he wants team to do with No. 1 pick
Star wide receiver DJ Moore has made it obvious that he does not want a change at quarterback, and the Chicago Bears have
less than three months to decide whether to trust Justin Fields or someone else.
In an appearance on FanDuel TV’s “Up & Adams” show on Thursday, Moore talked about what might be a crucial offseason for the Bears.
When asked what he would like the team to do with the first overall choice in the next draft, Moore responded.
He declared that he thought Chicago should make a return deal and gave his whole support behind Fields.
“We need some depth at wide receiver, so I’m going to stick with Justin and trade back and get some more (offensive linemen),” Moore declared.
Moore went on to say that he wouldn’t mind if the Bears selected Marvin Harrison Jr., even though it would
probably only require a few place tradeback. The 26-year-old declared that he is open to “all playmakers,
” including those who might dislodge targets from him given his position.
Moore was obtained by the Bears after a trade back from the first overall pick in the previous round. In exchange,
Chicago received two second-round selections and two future first-round picks, including the one that would be the number one pick in 2024.
They might be able to collect even more if they move down this year, according to a recent article.
Early in his rookie season with the Bears, Moore expressed some dissatisfaction with his job,
but he and Fields ultimately came to a significant understanding. Moore recorded 1,364 yards, eight touchdowns,
and 96 receptions, all career highs. You can see why he is endorsing Fields rather than Caleb Williams,
the unanimous choice as the first overall pick.
