Rangers got an up-close and personal glimpse of Connor Barron as the Ibrox-tipped midfielder impressed with Aberdeen.

The Scotland U21 prodigy is in the final six months of his Dons contract and was occasionally left out of the team under former manager Barry Robson this season.

Barron, who continued in the starting XI under Neil Warnock in Glasgow,

picked up an assist at Ibrox, with the Aberdeen star’s long pass latched onto by a hungry Bojan Miovski.

While it wasn’t a game-changing moment,

the assist demonstrated why some Rangers fans see Connor Barron as a long-term Ryan Jack successor.

At 21 years old, the midfielder not only possesses significant talent,

with Ryan Jack parallels evident both on and off the field.

The veteran Gers midfielder, 31, joined the club on a free transfer from Pittodrie in 2017 having starting out at Aberdeen and went on to captain the team.
