Philippe Clement approves the purchase of £8 million-rated striker with 11 goals in 21 matches
Rangers were extensively linked with a deal for Aberdeen striker Bojan Miovski during the January transfer window,
and Philippe Clement has now revealed his appreciation for the £8 million-rated attacker.
As the Montenegrin marksman held off Connor Goldson and flicked an inventive finish past Jack Butland on the stroke of half-time,
Rangers welcomed Aberdeen to Ibrox in Neil Warnock’s Scottish Premiership debut,
Bojan Miovski’s 20th goal of the season had a real ‘look at what you could have won’ feel to it.
Rangers, according to The Sun, are big fans of the Dons’ talisman, but there was no deal to be done in January.
And on a night when Cyriel Dessers reverted to Mick Beale-era form, snatching at chances in a wasteful performance,
Miovski’s dead-eyed ruthlessness at the other end of the pitch only strengthened Warnock’s claim that
Aberdeen have the best striker in Scottish football at their disposal.

Clement did not go quite as far. But he did speak out against the cold-blooded mercilessness of a player
who has virtually doubled Dessers’ own goal total in 35 games.
“We played an excellent game today. At halftime, Clement described the game as “really dominant.”
“But these are the types of games that occur during a season when the odds are stacked against you.
You totally dominate the first-half, you have the chances to score more than one.
“And then there’s this one moment that exemplifies Miovski’s quality. He does not require much to score goals.
Clement destroys Warnock’s Scotland bow.
According to Sky Sports, Aberdeen now value Miovski,
who cost them less than £600,000 when he signed from MTK Budapest in the summer of 2022, at roughly £8 million.
If he joins Rangers or Celtic later in his career, he will become the most expensive player to leave one Premiership club for another.
Rangers did survive the Miovski scare, with the superb Todd Cantwell scoring a second-half winner for Clement’s title-chasing team,
sealing Warnock’s defeat on his Scottish debut.
This is the first time the 75-year-old has been on the losing side in his first game in charge of a new team since 1997.
