Speaking to the press prior of the game, the Belgian underlined the importance of resting Ryan Jack,

who has recently returned from an injury layoff.

Playing his second game in three days may be too much, so he will recuperate for the encounter at Ibrox on Tuesday, February 6.

Clement stated, as translated by Chris Jack of the Glasgow Evening Times,

“Ryan Jack will miss the game against Aberdeen while Rangers manage his return to action.”

“Balogun is seeing a specialist this afternoon.”

Three changes, with Ryan Jack, Leon Balogun, and Borna Barisic absent.

Following what happened this week, Fabio Silva appears to be a lock for a starting berth, while Cyriel Dessers will have to compete for a spot on the bench.

Clement is compelled to make two changes because Balogun’s layoff is unknown, and his comeback after one game is premature.

It’s best for him to take his time and heal properly; there’s no use in pushing him back into play.

There are options in midfield for Jack as well, and Nicolas Raskin is expected to start.

Because of Leon Balogun’s recent injury, John Souttar will most likely come in as a substitute,

like he did over the weekend.

The third will be Ridvan Yilmaz, who will replace the 31-year-old Borna Barisic,

who appears to have lost his berth in the starting eleven to the Turkish international.

Rangers

Despite the speculation about his departure, Yilmaz remains at the club and will most likely return to the playing eleven.
