Lakers on the Prowl: Eyeing Seasoned Sharpshooter Before Trade Deadline!

Fans of the Laker team, it’s officially NBA Trade Deadline week. With just a few days left, the Los Angeles Lakers are still right in the heart of things.

The Lakers are said to be making multiple trades, which could be required given how bad this club is right now. However, it appears that a trade is imminent, and the Lakers are keeping an eye on a number of players they believe would be a good match, like experienced share shooter and current Detroit Piston Danilo Gallinari.

The Lakers have ‘checked in’ on Gallinarias as the deadline draws near, according to Michael Scotto of Hoops Hype.

Gallinari, a 35-year-old lottery pick, is up there. He is averaging 7.5 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and a 44.7% shooting percentage this season.

Though he plays for the weakest team in the league and is a little older, his numbers don’t jump out of the paper. Gallinari may benefit from a change of scenery, and the Laker might be a good fit.

Gallinari, who is hitting 35.6% from three, can still provide the Lakers with the shooting they need. Apart from that, he’s an asset nowhere. Given the uncertainty surrounding Jarred Vanderbilt’s status, the Lakers may need to use him as a defender, but he’s not getting any younger. The Lakers are a young team, except LeBron James and Anthony Davis, so why bring in someone who is closer to 40 than 30?

He could still shoot the ball quite well, so adding him to the Los Angeles team at a cheap cost wouldn’t be all that horrible.
