Former Rangers winger Ryan Kent has been removed from the Fenerbahce squad after failing to land a deadline day

move, according to claims in Turkey.

The 26-year-old left Ibrox as a free agent in the summer after his Light Blues contract came to a close. He has since

been with the Istanbul giants but it has not been a smooth transition abroad.

Kent’s minutes have largely come in the Europa Conference League. He’s made five starts in the European

competition but only seven appearances have been made in the Super Lig, totalling 134 minutes.

On the day of the deadline, Serie A powerhouse Lazio made an unexpected bid to bring him to Italy, seemingly

sealing his destiny. Kent was left in limbo regarding Fenerbahce when the move fell through.

Yenicag now claims that Ismail Kartal, the manager,

is “sacrificing” Kent throughout the second half of the season.

Fenerbahce will “leave him off the list” in order to fulfill their foreign player limit.

A squad of up to 14 foreign players is permitted in the Super Lig. Either Miha Zajc or the former Rangers player has

to be let go, and the latter has thrown in the towel.

Should Kent remain on the squad list, he might still play in the Conference League. It happens after Fotomac

declared the assailant will be moving to the Court of Arbitration and FIFA.

His grievance was his unpaid salary and the fact that he was excluded from Turkish plans; an application for wage

arrears can only be submitted to the football association’s governing body in the event

that a payment is not received for 91 consecutive days.
