Analyzing the Broncos’ Next Move: Irrational Decision or Strategic Play!
We’re going to learn more about the Broncos‘ current vision. assuming that one exists.
Our division opponent, the Denver Broncos, are swimming (drowning?) in all too familiar and dangerous waters as they get ready for another Super Bowl run. Russell Wilson was supposed to be the life raft, but instead he developed into a 242.6-million-pound anvil that has destroyed this team since his arrival and still has the potential to be disastrous for years to come.
Given that Wilson was benched for the final games of the 2023 season and appears to be headed out of Denver, the Broncos’ actions in the upcoming weeks and months will reveal the team’s strategy, assuming one even exists. Broncos Country is familiar with the ins and outs of a season without a plan.
Fans should be prepared for yet another arduous season when the Broncos PR machine tries to cajole the fan base into supporting the next iteration of Joe Flacco, Trevor Siemien, or any of the other tier-four quarterbacks we’ve had the pleasure of watching for almost a decade. Gardner Minshew‘s signing this offseason may be the largest no-plan move. Pay attention to that.
All that us Broncos supporters can hope for is that the team improves every season. It was no small accomplishment for coach Sean Payton to get the team to eight wins in 2023. To turn this club around, Denver needs to plan at a mastermind level. That kind of vision is really missed as it hasn’t been seen in a long time. We’ll soon find out just what kind of sandbox Sean Payton is operating in.
