When Aberdeen meet Rangers, it’s always a big deal,

but Neil Warnock’s arrival at Pittodrie might make this game even more exciting.

The veteran manager has been named temporary manager until the end of the season,

and his first game in Scotland will be in midweek at Ibrox.

Aberdeen are in excellent spirits after a 1-1 draw with Celtic on Saturday,

and the Dons will be eager to make it back-to-back wins on Rangers’ soil.

For the Reds, victory could propel them to sixth place in the table and back into the top half,

a fantastic start to Warnock’s term.

It’s also a fixture that witnessed managerial change last time out as the Dons’ 3-1 triumph at Ibrox pulled down

the curtains on Michael Beale’s term as Gers boss.
