Rangers player Todd Cantwell said that after the team’s 3-0 victory over Livingston over the weekend, head coach

Philippe Clement had restored the “happiness” to his play.

As Rangers defeated David Martindale’s team to close the gap on league leaders Celtic to just three points, Cantwell

was named the team’s man of the match. The former Norwich City player hailed the Belgian manager as essential to both his and Rangers’ comeback.

“I’m currently playing in the center as a number 10, and I’m passing out the numbers that I believe I can handle. I

believe the boss is aware of my ideal role. “We had a few injuries,

we had a few complications in a sense,” Clement

said to me. “Listen, I am playing in a position I like and I think I am showing it is my best position,” he said. I

appreciate the manager allowing me to participate in that game.

“It’s been difficult. Many folks didn’t realize I had been gone for between two and a half and almost three months. I

realize that I am the kind of player who attracts attention, but there is always a lot of fuss made about me. But that’s

okay as long as they’re all seeing the positive things too,” Cantwell clarified.

And when the Rangers visit Aberdeen to Ibrox on Tuesday night, their incredible comeback could come full circle.

Just four months have passed since the Dons’ 3-1 victory against

Rangers destroyed their dreams of winning the

championship and led to the firing of former head coach Michael Beale. On goal differential, they could top the table

with a victory against their managerless opponents, though Cantwell

acknowledges Clement is keeping his players grounded.
