Pittsburgh When the Pittsburgh Steelers head to Mobile, Alabama for the Senior Bowl, they will miss the chance to scout one of the greatest offensive lineman prospects in the NFL Draft and possibly the best center in the class. The Steelers are spending the week in the South, where general manager Omar Khan, deputy general manager Andy Weidl, and head coach Mike Tomlin will have the opportunity to work closely with some of the top seniors in the nation. Additionally, since Isaac Williams, the assistant offensive line coach, is in charge of the American Team’s offensive line, they will be keeping a closer watch on a few offensive lineman.

Now that he is not playing in the Senior Bowl, Georgia center Sedrick Van Pran is one guy they will not be able to see up close and personal over the week.

Mason Cole is about to reach his last season of a deal, thus the Steelers may try to add a center in the draft. They will still have the chance to scout Zach Frazier, a center from West Virginia, and Jackson Powers-Jonhson, a standout from Oregon. Van Pran might be selected in the second or third round of the NFL Draft, which could be crucial for the Steelers as they want to bolster their quarterback room and defense. The head coach of the Steelers, Mike Tomlin, makes it a point to fly to Georgia for the annual Pro Day, so Pittsburgh will have one more chance to see him.
