An “incredibly talented” Rangers player is now on the verge of leaving the club in the January transfer window,

with the Scottish giants accepting

Rangers transfer news

The Gers have been linked with so many players in recent weeks, as clubs all over the country look to potentially complete some late business, in what is their last chance to do so this season, as well as Philippe Clement’s first opportunity to do so as Ibrox boss.

Reputable journalist Fabrizio Romano claims that a deal appears to be in place to recruit Fluminense left-back Jefte,

with that position appearing to be the major objective. It appears that an agreement has been struck, meaning that the deal is

almost complete as the club gets ready for Ridvan Yilmaz’s potential departure.

Lawrence Shankland, a striker for Hearts, has been viewed as a long-term Rangers transfer target despite having an

outstanding season thus far with his present team. The 28-year-old has 14 goals and four assists in the Scottish Premiership

this season, more than any other player. Another intriguing choice is Vitesse star Million Manhoef, who has been backed to

seal a move to Ibrox, even being described as someone who could be Clement’s version

of Liverpoolsuperstar MohamedSalah.

Yilmaz isn’t the only one who could leave Rangers this month, however, and a big exit update has emerged regarding Jose Cifuentes.

Rangers accept bid for Jose Cifuentes

According to an update from Sky Sports journalist Anthony Joseph on X, Rangers have accepted a bid for midfielder Jose

Cifuentes from Rizespor, as his time at the club nears its conclusion.

“Rangers have accepted an offer from Rizespor for midfielder Jose Cifuentes. The Turkish side made a loan bid, with an

option to buy for around £2m.”

Although losing depth in the middle of the season is not ideal for the Rangers, it does make sense for all parties involved

considering his current squad status at Ibrox. A loan deal with a buyout option might be wise business for all sides because

the 24-year-old has only made six starts in the Scottish Premiership this season, with the other three coming from the bench.

Although Cifuentes is clearly a superb football player, the Rangers’ loss of him at such a young age is not good new.

As his former Los Angeles coach Steve Cherundolo put it, “Cifu is an incredibly talented player.

” For him, the sky is the limit. He is an all-around player.”

In the event that he moves on, the Ecuadorian will be regarded as a reliable player for the Gers, even if his tenure at Ibrox

was essentially brief—he made only 20 appearances overall.

Although it would have been ideal to see him remain longer and reach his full potential,

it will always be remembered as a transfer that didn’t quite work out if he doesn’t come back to

Ibrox in the summer and instead confirms a permanent departure.
