Rangers transfer news

The Gers picked up a crucial 1-0 win away to St Mirren on Saturday afternoon, keeping their Scottish Premiership title hopes looking healthy.

Away from the on-pitch action, there could be more transfers that happen in the coming days, in order to aid their chances of

going all the way this season, with deals already finalised for Fabio Silva and Mohamed Diomande.

Jefte, a 20-year-old defender for Fluminense, has been linked to a move to Ibrox; the youngster may be considered an

improvement over Borna Barisic, the team’s left-back at the moment.

Million Manhoef, a 22-year-old defender for Vitesse who has scored four goals and provided one assist in the Eredivisie in

2023–24, is another player who has been predicted to join Rangers soon.

Another left-back that is viewed as someone who can step in and strengthen that part of the pitch is Gijs Smal, a Dutchman.

From now until the end of the January transfer, it appears that Rangers will concentrate mostly on it, and an important

update about their business has surfaced.

Rangers close to signing Jefte

According to Romano on X, Rangers are now close to completing the signing of Fluminense left-back Jefte, with an

agreement in place to snap him up this month.

This is excellent news for Rangers, as Jefte is a player who may play a significant role in their long-term future and left-back

is a priority position this month.

The Brazilian, who is only 20 years old, is still a very young player without senior-level experience.

He hasn’t even played for Fluminense in the first team, but as the years go by, he might develop into a better football player,

starting out as a squad member.

He has made 25 appearances for their Under-20 team, contributing six goals (two goals and four assists) during that period.

He has also scored seven goals in 20 games for APOEL Nicosia.

Securing the signing may be crucial if Barisic leaves Rangers before the conclusion of deadline day on Thursday.

There have been rumours of a move to Serie A powerhouse Roma and a possible Galatasaray signing for Ridvan Yilmaz.
