Fabrizio Romano: Rangers now agree personal terms for another new signing, 3.5-year deal
Fabrizio Romano reports that Rangers have now come to an agreement to sign Fluminense left-back Jefte.
Since he is now on loan with the Cypriot club, the Italian journalist said on Friday, January 26, via his personal X account,
that the transfer with Brazilian team Fluminense is finalised, but the Gers are still awaiting APOEL’s approval.
It is believed to be a long-term arrangement, and Jefte, 20, has personally committed to a three-and-a-half-year contract at
Ibrox.
Transfer blitz continues
Rangers are doing absolute bits this winter.
Fabio Silva has joined on loan from Wolves to bolster the attack and earlier on Friday, it was confirmed that Mohamed
Diomande is joining from FC Nordsjaelland once his work permit has been sorted out.
Borna Barisic is likely having one of his best seasons as a Rangers player, but there are always concerns about his fitness and
the chance that he may have a complete meltdown.
Although Ridvan Yilmaz did score against Hibernian earlier this week, he has not been a very impressive addition and has
frequently been linked to a return to Turkey.
Twenty-year-old Jefte has made three goals and four assists in 18 Cypriot league games for APOEL this season, indicating
that he is a capable attacker.
In any case, Jefte is a left-back who came out of the Fluminense academy, much like Marcelo, the most decorated player in
Bernabeu history and a legend of Real Madrid.
